Personal Motivators
Earlier in this section we’ve covered how smoking affects your health, appearance and those around you and how quitting smoking now can provide you and those around you with a better quality of life and health. In addition to health reasons, there are many other kinds of motivators for quitting smoking. These personal motivators are different for everyone. A few examples of personal motivators are:
- You will enjoy a better quality of life
- You will live a longer life
- Instead of going off by yourself to smoke or smoking with someone else, you will have more quality time to spend with your family and friends
- You will set a positive example for your children
- You won’t have to limit your nightlife to places that offer a smoking section
- Your home, your car, your hair, breath and clothing will no longer smell like cigarette smoke
- You will breathe more easily
- You will be less likely to get sick
- You will walk up a flight of stairs without having trouble breathing
- You will look forward to going more places and you won’t be held back by the fact that you are not allowed to smoke
- You won’t be ruled by cigarette cravings that attack any time of day or night
- You will no longer need to stand outside in the rain or snow to smoke
- You will have extra money to spend from the all the money you save from not buying cigarettes
