Quit Companion
Start Quitting Today - Introducing the Quit Companion.
You’ve come to the right place. DeterminedToQuit.com and the breakthrough Quit Companion were created with you - a tobacco user who knows it’s time to quit - specifically in mind. You know quitting is the smart thing to do for yourself, your family and your friends, but it’s a challenge. That’s why we’re here to help.
Simply follow the steps below and you’ll be on the right path to putting an end to your habit.
Step 1 - Tell us a little about yourself.
To start utilizing the breakthrough Quit Companion, you’ll need to provide us with a little bit of information so we can tailor the program to meet your needs. This one-time step will only take a minute or two to complete. And don’t worry, you can always change your settings in the future.
Step 2 - Put your mobile phone to work.
During the sign-up process, you can enter your mobile phone number to activate the text messaging feature of the Quit Companion. With this enabled, you’ll have the ability to utilize the Companion even when you’re away from your computer; a handy feature for sure.
To ensure we’re talking with the right phone, we’ll text you a short code that you’ll need to enter in your Profile Manager.
Step 3 - Your smoking patterns visualized.
Information is power even when it comes to smoking cigarettes. Through the Quit Companion’s Progress Charts, you can visually see your smoking patterns for the first time ever. Just took a smoke break? Text the number "1" to your account and your progress will be updated in real-time. Slip ups happen, but the Quit Companion won't let you forget about them.
Step 4 - Personal Motivation.
You know you have your weak moments. Friday’s happy hour. Your morning cup of coffee. For some, they go hand-in-hand with a cigarette. Help put an end to this by scheduling a text message to arrive at 6pm each Friday reminding you to stick to your quit attempt. Or at 10am when you’re in line at Starbucks. You get the point.
Step 5 - You are not alone.
When smokers begin their quit attempt, motivation, optimism and support is at an all-time high. The truth is, this support usually fades away as the days and weeks go by. Instead of going it alone, invite family and friends to provide ongoing support messages via email and text messages.
Smoking Fact
